AP human Geography InformationStudents will learn about the world and become globally competent as they get a hands-on approach to learning (we'll be doing at few Project Based Learning units). They will have the opportunity to "meet" (virtually) National Geographic explorers, they will collaborate with each other and their peers in other countries. For example, they will be able to talk to people in Australia about the fires, other teens in North Africa about sustainable development and culture, and guest speakers including North Korean Refugees. Students will also represent Lakeridge at state level Model United Nations Conference and (we're still planning) the Sustainability Retreat. All of this with the goal of passing the AP Human Geography Test for college credit and gaining skills to help them be successful throughout their lives.
